At its core, Dreams for Teens is a social initiative which believes that higher education must be understood as more than just a matter of opportunity and also be about information, guidance, and equity. For a lot of students especially the ones belonging to underprivileged backgrounds barriers aren't just financial. They also come about due to a limited exposure and a lack of structured support. The initiative seeks to address these gaps by making higher education more accessible and easier to navigate.
Dreams for Teens works in order to reduce these barriers with the help of targeted outreach with public schools and NGOs. We have been building engagement through a structured toolkit which we designed in order to facilitate communication between the guidance staff and the students. These interactions open up spaces for the students to ask questions, understand their options, and get better clarity on the application processes along with different financing opportunities.Â
Alongside improving access to information, we also support students through scholarship opportunities. This allows them to pursue their higher education with greater confidence. We are also running a youth campaign that encourages students to share resources and experiences within their communities. Through these efforts, Dreams for Teens aims to make higher education more accessible while building a culture of informed decision-making among students from underserved backgrounds.
